You've got a friend in me

Exploring through the tide-pools in Laguna Beach with my sister a few weeks back that i thought i would share!

My outfit is not all that exciting, since we were playing on the beach all day but i'll share anyways :)

I feel so blessed and thankful to be able to have a sister whom i can call my best friend. A few years back if anyone were to have asked how close we were, i would have answered simply-not close at all. Even though we are only two and a half years apart, growing up was difficult for us. I am the shy type who prefers to have a small group of really great friends, where as my sister has always been outgoing, the life of the party, who always had a million friends, and tons of fun opportunities knocking at her door. It was hard staying close, especially since she was away from home the majority of the time. I was so jealous of her and this amazing life she had. Always a party to attend, boys nearly fainting at the sight of her; i was too shy to even smile at one. It was so easy for her to even have a simple conversation with someone. But as we grew older we realized what we had been missing out on this whole time. Friends come and go, boys will break your heart, but family never leaves. Never lets you down. Family will love you unconditionally no matter what life may bring. It took us a long time for us to understand this, after some heartbreak and losing several friendships, but the wait was worth it. I am so happy of where we are at, and who we have become. My sister is the best friend i could ever ask for. And i wouldn't have it any other way.
